Micamera is a project incubator, an independent association that promotes contemporary photography and cinema. The bookstore is the heart of Micamera. Micamera thinks, promotes, curates and produces exhibitions, talks, booksignings, portfolio reviews, conferences, workshops, performances. On the background, the gallery and the books, that are always present.
Micamera is a place where people meet and share ideas. We like to cooperate and many projects started very simply meeting at Micamera. (like the Japanese Photobook Exhibition curated by Ivan Vartanian at Le Bal).
We participate to events, festivals and fairs in Arles, Kassel, Paris, Amsterdam, Luxembourg and collaborate with Italian Festivals (in Savignano, Cortona, Reggio Emilia and Lodi).
Micamera has curated the publication of the books by Silvia Camporesi, Sabrina Ragucci/Giorgio Falco, Lorenzo Tricoli and Andrea Alessio, whose book has been published by Nazraeli Press for the 10th anniversary of our bookstore.
As a gallery, we represent Machiel Botman, Jessica Backhaus and Andrea Alessio.
